Doctor of Nursing Practice with Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
Georgia Baptist College of Nursing offers the Doctor of Nursing Practice (generalist) with the addition of the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP). This program of study is for Registered Nurses with an earned master's degree in nursing and are currently certified as an advanced practice nurses, i.e. nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, nurse midwives or nurse anesthetists. Graduates are prepared to meet requirements to sit for the certification examination under the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) specific specialties and the American Association of Critical care Nurses (AACN) examination for Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
