The FNP Postmaster's Certificate curriculum option is designed the nurse who has a master's degree in nursing and who is certified as an advanced practice nurse seeking eligibility for FNP primary care certification.

Semester 1 (Fall)

NUR 631   Care of Adults in the Primary Care Setting I     4 hrs
NUR 622   Primary Care Practicum (240 hours)  4 hrs
Total semester hours:  8 credit hours

Semester 2 (Spring)

NUR 641   Care of Children/Adolescents in the Primary Care Setting  3 hrs
NUR 653   Women's Health  2 hrs
NUR 623   Primary Care Practicum II (180 practicum hours)  3 hrs
Total semester hours:  8 credit hours

Semester 3 (Summer)

NUR 634  Care of Adults in the Primary Care Setting II    3 hrs
NUR 624   Family Practice Practicum   (240 practicum hours)   4 hrs
Total semester hours:  7 credit hours

Total semester credit hours = 23 (12 class credit hours and 11 clinical credit hours/variable)
Total clinical hours = 660
