Here is a list of all programs, and their applications, offered at Georgia Baptist College of Nursing. Please read each program description carefully before beginning your application.

 

 

Undergraduate Programs

The two programs below are for students who DO NOT have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Students who enroll in these programs will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Pre-licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing

The pre-licensure BSN is for students who DO NOT have an RN license, and are seeking initial licensure. If you do not have a current RN license, then this is the only program you are eligible to apply for.

RN-BSN Completion Track

The RN-BSN completion track is for students who are already Registered Nurses (RNs) who have graduated from an accredited associate degree or diploma nursing program and meet the following conditions:

  1. Successfully completed the National Council Licensure Exam for RNs (NCLEX-RN).
  2. Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state of Georgia with an unencumbered RN license (Applicants with RN licensure and/or residency outside of the state of Georgia may be considered for admission on an individual basis in accordance with the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement.)

If you do not meet these two requirements, then you do not qualify for the RN-BSN Completion track.

Graduate Programs

The graduate programs are for students who have already earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. If you already have a Bachelor's Degree, but it is not in nursing, you will need to apply to the Pre-licensure BSN program listed in the Undergraduate Programs Section above.

Master of Science in Nursing

The Master of Science in Nursing programs are designed for BSN educated nurses with a current unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Georgia and at least one year of work experience as a professional Registered Nurse (Please note, an applicant with less work experience may be admitted on a part-time basis or by permission of the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs).

We have three specialties: Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner.

Post-Master's Certificates

The Post-Master's Certificates are for Advanced Practice Nurses who would like to get their certification in either Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner.

Post-Master's Doctor of Nursing Practice

The Post-Master's Doctor of Nursing Practice is for Registered Nurses who have a Master's Degree in Nursing and are currently certified as an advanced practice nurse. We have four specialties: Generalist DNP, DNP with addition of Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, DNP with addition of Nurse Educator, and DNP with addition of Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Educator.

BSN to DNP

The BSN to DNP program is for Registered Nurses who completed a BSN degree program and desire to complete a DNP. We have two concentrations: Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. This program does NOT require a minimum amount of work experience.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

The Ph.D. is for students who have completed a Master's Degree in Nursing from a NLNAC or CCNE accredited nursing program.
