Research Grant

The Scholarship and Research Committee, Pi Gamma Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau International is pleased to announce the availability of grant funds for research conducted by Pi Gamma members. Funds of $300.00 will be awarded on the basis of competitive review. All reviews are dependent upon availability of funds.

Submission Requirements:
1. Submit five copies of the proposal (not to exceed 10 pages double spaced excluding reference and appendices) containing the following information:

• Title
• Purpose of the study
• Significance of the study
• Specific aims or hypotheses
• Literature review
• Methods
  • Subjects & setting
  • Instruments
  • Procedure
  • Data analysis
  • Protection of human subjects plans. (Approval through the appropriate IRB is required).
• Budget

2. A title page that includes the applicant's name and credentials should accompany only
one (1) of the five copies. The applicant's name or other identifying information should be omitted from all other copies so as to facilitate blind review.

3. Proposals should be submitted to:

4. Submission Deadline: December 1st

The Scholarship and Research Committee will review the proposals in January and notify the recipient in February. The Sigma Theta Tau International Grant Review Form will be used to judge the proposals.

Projected completion of the study should be within one year of the funding award. An annual report should be submitted if the research work proceeds beyond one year. A presentation of the study, financial summary, and summary of the findings is expected following completion of the study.
