Dr. Bahadur received her initial B.S. degree from Millsaps College.  Several years later she pursued a career in nursing and currently holds certification to practice as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Her clinical and teaching interests include critical care and emergency department.  Her prior research included Stem Cell Transplantation and Screening Techniques and Interventions for Depression and Obesity in School-Based Pediatric Primary Care Clinics. While enrolled in her doctor of nursing practice program at Maryville University, her project focused on: The Impact of Depression on Chronic Illness:  The Importance of Educational Interventions in Primary Health Clinic Settings. She is the recipient of several awards including a two-time inductee of the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s NELSON ORDER, an award based on collective nominations from peers and students which acknowledgs the institution's best teachers.
