Dr. Grafton received her B.S. degree in Education from Florida State University.  She began her career as an Atlanta-based high school educator, where she taught Language Arts/English.   She was later employed by the Professional Association of Georgia Educators, where she stayed for ten years.  Dr. Grafton is a triple-Mercer Bear earning her D.N.P., M.S.N. and B.S.N from Mercer University.  She also holds certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Her clinical and teaching interests include: Adult Health, Women’s Health, and Nursing Education. She holds clinical experience in endoscopy clinical and Shepherd Center ICU.  As a graduate student at Mercer University, Dr. Grafton served as a tutor in the Center for Nursing Excellence and volunteered her time in the Learning Resource Center.  While enrolled in the doctoral program, her scholarship project area of interest focused on: An Evaluation of the Geriatric Resource Nurse Program Across a Hospital System.  She received multiple awards from the College, including the highest nursing award in 2017 for her work in the undergraduate degree program.
