Paul McClendon serves as the Director of Development for Georgia Baptist College of Nursing. Prior to arriving at Mercer University, he served as the development officer for several organizations, including the Center for the Visually Impaired, the Waldorf School of Atlanta, and the Environmental Education Alliance of Georgia. As a Major Gifts Officer with the Center for the Visually Impaired, he fostered strong relationships with friends and supporters of the organization, which resulted in a steady increase in support of the organization. As Development Director for the Waldorf School of Atlanta, he built and leveraged key relationships with friends and supporters and was responsible for the organization’s major gift programs, annual campaigns, and special events. He also served on the board of directors of the Wylde Center, which focuses on developing environmental stewards through education, community, and dynamic greenspace programs that actively engage adults and youth in their environment and their health. In addition, he is the co-founder of a non-profit cooperative preschool in Decatur.
