Professor Rogers most recently worked as a nursing education coordinator for a nurse residency program.  She also held previous adjunct faculty nursing positions at Georgia Regents University and Emory University.  Her clinical experience is in medical-surgical nursing with a focus on rehabilitation medicine.  She holds certification in gerontological nursing from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Prior to entering the nursing profession, she worked as a systems engineer in multiple industries.  Her research interests include informal clinical leadership, healthy work environments, health informatics, and process and quality improvement strategies in health care.  She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, the American Nurses Association, the Southern Nursing Research Society, and the Association for Nursing Professional Development.  She was awarded the Boisfeuillet Jones Medal at Emory University for good citizenship, leadership, service, academic performance, and potential to become a change agent.
